Security Systems Service Technicians ensure all systems and components are inspected, tested, operated, and maintained according to the operational requirements of the customer. These systems and components include CCTV or IP cameras, alarm sensors, access control devices, and software platforms. Why is this so important? Our Security Service Technicians are the face of Siemens, and your expertise and regular interaction with the customer will help keep their building inhabitants safe.
As a Security Service Technician, you will:
Collaborate in the commissioning of new security systems at customer sites, ensuring their proper setup and functionalityThoroughly document commissioning details and effectively communicate deficiencies and progress to relevant stakeholdersPerform rigorous testing and inspections on systems covered by maintenance agreements to maintain peak performanceRespond promptly to system issues, conducting troubleshooting and executing repairs to restore optimal functionalityIdentify and address code and non-conformance issues to ensure systems meet required standardsWork alongside mentors, Lead Technicians, and Team Leaders to plan tasks efficiently and effectivelyYou will make an impact with these qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Experience working with commercial integrated security systems in a capacity such as installing, servicing, maintaining, programming, etc.Electro-mechanical experience (either in a previous role or through education) and user PC/software skillMust be able to demonstrate an understanding of network components, workstation, and server operating system managementMust be willing and able to work in a variety of environments in and around mechanical equipment, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high-lift equipment, working in ducts, above ceilings, and in outside/inside/heat/cold/day/night conditions; use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; differentiate types/colors of wire, carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds unassistedExperience with Microsoft OfficeMust be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorshipPreferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or Associate degree in technical field1+ years’ experience in the installation and/or maintenance of large-scale integrated security systemsAbility to read/understand design and construction documentsYou’ll benefit from:
