The Security Systems Specialist will be responsible for researching, ordering, installing, maintaining, and servicing all security systems throughout the organization. Job Description
Essential Functions
Researches, designs, implements and installs CCTV supplies and equipment. Handles contract negotiations and maintaining relationship with alarm monitoring companies.Coordinates with contracted alarm companies to update systems, schedule repairs, and resolve false alarms as necessary. Maintains inventory of camera equipment, codes of alarms and safes and assist stores with alarm and safe issues.Reviews all security systems service request and determines course of action for resolution.Ensures adherence to best practices for access control systems.Handles invoices, expenses and orders for Asset Protection and Safety.Fixes/repairs alarm and security issues if possible to avoid having our alarm companies make the repairs and thus save the company money.Coordinates with the Maintenance department to schedule lifts at locations. Runs cable for installation of new camera systems and to repair old cameras.Coordinate with retail locations for adjusting camera angles and replacing or adding cameras.Travels to locations as needed for alarm, camera, and training needs.Maintains inventory and digital records of invoices, alarms, registrations, permits and other security systems.Review, understand and comply with all policies and procedures of Goodwill Industries of Middle TN, including retail, warehouses, donation sites and corporate offices.Effectively assists at times and communicates relevant information to Asset Protection Manager or Risk/Safety Manager in a timely manner.Assists Asset Protection with monitoring alarm calls, unlawful intrusion, fires and property damage.Reviews and examines camera footage related to safety and security incidents for GWMT, as well as for legal and insurance purposes.Regular, reliable attendance, as defined in Goodwill's attendance policy.Other duties as assigned by management.Minimum QualificationsRequired Skills
Education
High School diploma or equivalency.Experience
Minimum of two (2) years demonstrated progressive experience in CCTV equipment and installation.Knowledge and Skills
Ability to work and travel independently.Must have own transportation, a valid drivers’ license and proof of insurance.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Excellent customer service skills.Excellent organizational and project management skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities.Strong problem solving skills.Preferred Education / Experience / Knowledge & Skills / Certifications & License:
Knowledge of integrated security systems.Associate college degree preferred.
