Security Systems Team Leader
**In this position…** The Security Systems Team Lead will possess a deep understanding of physical security, encompassing operational, technological, procedural, and physical aspects. The role will provide engineering assessments on physical security technology and designs to optimize loss prevention. The Team Lead will perform comprehensive risk assessments on commercial and industrial locations to identify vulnerabilities, recommend mitigation strategies and develop “basis for design” supporting documentation. The role is key in establishing a proactive, consultative, and business-aligned culture and approach to Ford Motor Company Global Security Systems. The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of security technologies communicating on an IT physical layer build out. This will include a focus on new technologies for physical security systems for a modern/mobile agile workplace. The role will be responsible for researching solutions, advising clients and assisting with the technical delivery of physical security systems while collaborating on mobile solutions. This person will work alongside a team of technical subject matter experts (SMEs), providing input and know-how on a large-scale enterprise. A self-starting desire to learn new technologies and critically determine business impact, both for our customers and for our internal purposes, is key to this position. You’ll have to juggle many tasks, responsibilities, and requests, while making sure that all parties involved are assured of our dedication to them individually. **What you'll do…** + Strategic Security Leadership: Identify, prescribe, and implement key physical security initiatives and awareness programs, collaborating with internal departments and advising senior management on implications and progress. + Security Technology Expertise: Provide direct program management for enterprise-level security technology systems, including access control, CCTV video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems. + Project Management Excellence: Lead project management oversight for physical security technology system integration and installations supporting major modernization and renovation projects. + Compliance and Standards: Develop and audit physical security standards to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws, rules, and regulations. + Field Operations and Response: Serve as the primary point of contact for field locations on physical security matters, including response, supervision, and resolution of service requests. + Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze service data, prepare comprehensive reports, and provide insights to inform security strategy. + Security Assessments and Risk Mitigation: Conduct routine security assessments of Ford facilities and executive residences to identify and mitigate security risks and threats. + Collaborative Project Management: Coordinate project requirements with Engineering, IT, Procurement, department stakeholders, and contracted security consultants. + IT Security Integration: Work closely with the IT department to ensure best practices and needs are met regarding the security network. + Contractor Management: Maintain strong relationships with contractors to ensure prompt and effective service response. + Incident Response: In the absence of the Security Supervisor, act as the primary point of contact for public agencies responding to and investigating security incidents. **You'll have…** + Security Technologies Expertise: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in security technologies with manufacturer certifications. Proficient operating knowledge in security technology, network and architecture, including design, engineering, installation, and administration of integrated systems. + Physical Security Mastery: Possess a deep understanding of physical security, encompassing operational, technological, procedural, and physical aspects. + Security Standards and Compliance: Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols, up to date with industry standards. + Project Management Proficiency: In-depth experience and skills in project management. + Security Clearance and Licensing: Ability to pass required background checks, physical and drug screenings. Valid driver's license with a clean MVR record. + Communication Excellence: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office 365). + Availability and Travel: Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as operational needs dictate.
