Security Technician

Job Overview: A Security Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of fire alarm systems to ensure the safety and protection of people and property from fire hazards.

Key Responsibilities: Installation: Install fire alarm systems based on design specifications and local building codes Mount and connect control panels, detectors, horns, strobes, and other system components Ensure proper wiring and connectivity for the entire system. Maintenance and Inspection: Perform routine inspections of fire alarm systems to identify and address any issues Test and troubleshoot system components to ensure proper functionality. Conduct preventive maintenance to prevent system failures Repairs and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair malfunctioning fire alarm systems Replace faulty components and ensure that the system is restored to working order promptly Respond to emergency calls for system repairs Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, inspections, maintenance, and repairs Provide detailed documentation of system configurations and changes Compliance: Stay updated on relevant fire safety codes, regulations, and industry standards Ensure that all installations and repairs comply with local and national safety codes. Customer Interaction: Communicate with clients to understand their specific requirements and address any concerns Provide training to clients on the proper use of fire alarm systems. Collaboration: Work closely with other technicians, electricians, and contractors on projects Coordinate with building owners, managers, and local authorities.
  Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications are often preferred 3 years relevant experience in fire alarm system installation and maintenance Licensed in residential burglar and fire Knowledge of electrical systems, low-voltage wiring, and fire safety codes Familiarity with different types of fire alarm equipment and systems Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Good communication and customer service skills   ??????????????
