Job DescriptionAllied Universal® is hiring a Trainer. The Trainer is responsible for conducting training activities in accordance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations, as well as Allied Universal standards. This Security Trainer will train CPR/First Aid/AED, Defensive Tactics (e.g., handcuffs, pepper spray, batons, Tasers, firearms), Mobility Devices (e.g., vehicles, bicycle, golf cart, Segway), Fire Safety Services (emergency plans; occupants, floor wardens and staff presentations; and evacuation drills), and other value-added services such as workplace violence/active shooter training.
Pay Rate: $66,500.00 per year
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work in conjunction with operational partners (Human Resource Coordinators/Branch Managers) to develop practical training programs at the branch level, in order to ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory mandated trainingIdentify, conduct vetting, and establish relationships with local training academies in order to provide support in the form of external training opportunitiesCommunicate with stakeholders (Regional Training Manager, Field operations, Security Professionals, Supervisors, Field and Corporate Training, and Clients)Deliver field training programs in accordance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations, as well as Allied Universal standardsConduct CPR/First Aid/Automated External Defibrillator (AED) trainingConduct Defensive Tactics (e.g., handcuffs, pepper spray, batons, Tasers, firearms) trainingConduct Mobility Devices (e.g., vehicles, bicycle, golf cart, Segway) trainingConduct field training for Security Professionals and SupervisorsDeliver Fire Safety Services (emergency plans; occupants, floor wardens, and staff presentations; and evacuation drills), and other value-added services such as workplace violence/active shooter trainingConduct leadership training such as the Certified Security Professional program to Security Professionals and SupervisorsConduct special projects on an as-needed basis to support the regionQUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalentCertification in security, safety, or training fieldMinimum of two (2) years of professional-level experience in learning program development and classroom instructionAble to work independently with little to no direct supervisionAbility to write manuals, review, and respond to written requests for proposals, training documents, and prepare extensive presentations is requiredHighly proficient and fully functional in Microsoft programs such as Word and PowerPointAbility to deliver specific training programs in accordance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations, as well as Allied Universal standards, such as CPR/First Aid/AED, Defensive Tactics (e.g. handcuffs, pepper spray, batons, Tasers, firearms), Mobility Devices (e.g. vehicles, bicycle, golf cart, Segway), Fire Safety Services (emergency plans; occupants, floor wardens and staff presentations, and evacuation drills), provide other value-added services such as workplace violence/active shooter trainingDemonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlinesAbility to maintain correspondence, discussions, and materials in strictest confidenceOutstanding oral and written communication skills; ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization, including with clientsThe employee must be able to concentrate on details, work under deadline pressures, apply sound logic and judgment, and prioritize tasks and responsibilitiesPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Some college education or business classesPrior experience in the fire service, security industry, law enforcement and/or militaryExperience in security operations or other functions of security industryBENEFITS:
