Security Training Specialist

Allied Universal® is hiring a Training Specialist. The Training Supervisor is responsible for the training, professional operation, administration, profitability, and quality assurance of uniformed services for a high profile client site.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee that all aspects of the security function on-site are performed In a diligent manner (staffing, scheduling, and on-site training all Allied Universal®. personnel assigned to their site)Ensure that contract-required training and screening elements for security personnel have been metMake recommendations concerning disciplinary action/commendation decisions pertaining to security personnelInstruct approved security officer training upon being assigned to the siteRecord and update all training records to ensure compliance with requirements outlined in the contract and assigned from contract leadershipMonitor security officer compliance to ensure all officers are up to date and compliantConduct post inspections to ensure officers are following assigned Post Orders and Standard Operating ProceduresOversee implementation of changes in policies, post orders, and projectsOversee on the job training activitiesMaintain overtime to a minimal or preset requirementEnsure quality of service and contract compliance by regularly inspecting security personnel and their job performance when assigned to their shiftPerform other operations and related functions (e.g., onboarding, payroll, review and maintain incident reports, assist in preparation of security surveys and post orders)Make recommendations for positive and negative personnel actions for those under their direct supervisionRespond to client requestsMake emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post OrdersProvide direction and instruction to security professionals in regard to the performance of their dutiesDisciplinary action/commendation decisions pertaining to security personnelMake productivity and cost reduction recommendations to managementMake recommendations for physical security surveys and post ordersMake recommendations concerning disciplinary action/commendation decisions pertaining to security personnel

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

High school diploma or equivalentMust be able to pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensingCurrent driver’s license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicleMinimum of one (1) year of verifiable training/supervisory experience in a security-related IndustryBe able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitorsDemonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the publicEffective oral and written communication skillsProblem solving skillsActive listening skillsAssess and evaluate situations effectively; identify critical issues quickly and accuratelyCompile, sort, and interpret dataResearch, investigate, compile informationMediate conflict with tact, diplomacyWrite informatively, clearly, and accuratelyTeamwork skillsAttention to detail

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

College coursework in Education, Business, Criminal Justice, Human Resources, Security Management or related fieldPrior experience in the fire service, security Industry, law enforcement and/or militaryOccupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) certifiedCardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certifiedTraining management experienceProject management experience
