Your role and responsibilities

Job Description: As a Segment Sales Manager, you will lead sales and marketing efforts in the Oil & Gas segments, focusing on products, systems, and services in the Motion area. Your goal is to meet annual budgets, build a long-term pipeline, increase market share, and enhance customer satisfaction.Responsibilities:Strategic Planning and Budget Management: Develop 1-3 year strategies and business plans based on industry trends, regulations, and local demands. Meet annual budgets across all Product Groups (PGs), track projects, and build long-term opportunity pipelines (18-24 months) with local sales units.Market Implementation and Project Coordination: Execute market strategies across all regions, including direct, third-party, and project sales. Connect the supply chain dots (end user – EPC – OEMs) to drive projects to order win.Sales Leadership and Account Management: Lead capture sales teams, influence specifications, and meet AVL needs with end users and EPCs. Additionally, coordinate international project pursuits. Identify account management needs and ensure local sales coverage. Promote commercial and technical agreements with key customers.Relationship Building and Knowledge Sharing: Build long-term relationships with key influencers and customers (end users and EPCs), leveraging ABB's strengths. As a domain expert, train and guide local segment and sales champions. Promote active knowledge sharing and cross-collaboration.Product Management Collaboration: Develop segment-specific offerings with Product Management. Create marketing materials tailored to specific industry segments.Thought Leadership and Cross-Division Collaboration: Establish ABB as a thought leader at key industry events by speaking, writing segment-specific articles, and more. Enhance cross-division and cross-region collaboration to leverage existing ABB customer relationships.CRM Management: Maintain a project pipeline through Salesforce.com and Power BI to keep an accurate opportunity funnel for sales forecasting and measure the segment's success.

Qualifications for the role

Education: Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering. Technical education in Electrical, Electronics, or Automation is required.Mandatory Requirements: Solid sales experience, technical background in frequency inverters, experience in Oil & Gas.Additional Requirements: Knowledge of ABB frequency inverters.Languages: Fluent in English.Travel Availability: More than 60% of the time for national and international travel.
