Segment Risk Specialist: IV (Lead)
Description We are on the lookout for a Segment Risk Specialist: IV (Lead) in Columbus, Ohio, who is well-versed in Technology and Cyber controls, IT engineering technologies, and principles. This role involves designing and implementing sustainable automation for technology risk controls in a dynamic technology environment. Responsibilities: • Engage with IT Risk and Cyber teams to comprehend and evaluate existing risk controls, pinpointing areas for enhancement and automation. • Develop, test, and deploy automation solutions for technology controls, based on analysis and cooperation with control and platform owners. • Uphold industry standards for code development and cleanliness. • Actively participate in and support control owners during periodic control testing. • Keep automation scripts, code, etc., updated for controls throughout their lifecycle. • Lead the design and development of new technology controls, adhering to industry best practices for control design and automation. • Design and develop control automation that provides proactive/real-time functionality and eliminates manual validation. • Support and encourage a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.. • Stay updated with industry and technology risk trends to ensure solutions align with best practices. Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in Communication, emphasizing clarity and effectiveness in conveying complex information. • Practical experience in Design, specifically within the context of risk management. • Proven ability in Automation and Engineering, ideally within a financial services environment. • Knowledge and experience in Optimization, using Python as a primary tool. • Strong Collaboration and Coding skills, with a focus on developing and implementing best practices. • Solid understanding of Risk Management principles and practices. • Excellent Interpersonal Skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships across diverse teams. • Experience in the Financial Services sector, with a focus on risk assessment and management. • Familiarity with various Methodologies and Frameworks used in risk management. • Proficiency in Computer Sciences, with a focus on risk assessment and management. • Understanding of Principles related to risk management in a financial context. • Knowledge of R Code, with practical experience in its application in risk management. • Awareness and understanding of Cyber Security issues and their impact on risk management. • Experience in Risk Assessment, with a focus on identifying and mitigating potential risks. • A mindset of Innovation, with a proven ability to introduce new ideas and approaches. • Experience in creating and implementing Validation Plans, ensuring they align with risk management strategies. • Proficiency in using GIT for version control. • A Plus certification or equivalent knowledge would be an advantage. • A commitment to Drive Continuous Improvement in all aspects of work.
