SEH-Q Engineering Technician
Job Description

Danfoss in Easley, SC is looking for a SEH-Q Engineering Technician.  The SEH-Q (Safety, Environment, Health and Quality) Engineering Technician will be responsible to support SEH Leader and Quality Manager to improve the SEH aspects / activities and follow with ISO standards 14001, 45001 and government regulations as well as ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949. Also, will be responsible for specified activities in supporting Quality Engineers with the customer interface for all aspect of product quality, including PPAP phase. Act as customer contact for specified customer related to quality topics and support / drive the manufacturing and assembly operations teams in addressing internal and customer issues through the application of core quality tools. Focused activities on PFMEA and CP review, 8D and problem-solving methods for our customer base, as well as direct support of manufacturing and assembly operations to achieve internal goals related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.

This is an opportunity located at our facility in Easley, SC. Prospective candidates must be open to working full-time hours (i.e. 40 hours/week).

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. 

Support the Safety Walks and proactive risk assessment on the job/duties on the floor (in daily basis). Be responsible to develop and maintain legal and obligations compliance as a part of ISO 14001 and 45001 standards. Support the process for compliance inspection management (monthly and annual inspections). Assist in GIMS (Incident Data Report) entry, monitoring and accuracy. Facilitating root cause analyses of significant injuries and incidents. Conducting investigations into incidents involving safety, health and environmental risks and prepare appropriate written reports. Establishing SEH plans and activities and providing technical guidance in the implementation of controls to minimize risks. Providing expertise during management of change phases of operational changes to ensure that sound SEH control methodologies are integrated in changes. Background & Skills

The ideal candidate possesses these skills. 

Associate level degree in Engineering, Safety or science correlated areas. 2+ years of progressive related Engineering experience in a manufacturing or technical environment. Work availability- Minimum 40hrs/week. Able to interact with all levels of organization (Shop floor to Management). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge with data analytics (Capability, Gage R&R, etc.). High skilled experience with Microsoft Office and apps (i.e.: MS Teams, Power apps, SharePoint development, Microsoft Planner, etc.).
