SELinux Engineer
Description + Collaborate with architects and fellow software engineers to identify the best solutions for security challenges. + Pay special attention to the Quality & Security in all stages of development, which also includes Unit Testing, Validation and Automation of the deliverables. + Ensure a high degree of security as well as reliability, availability, performance, and scalability of the product. + Experience in implementing solutions to real security problems. Experience with system architecture, design, testing and implementation. + Ability to identify security vulnerabilities in the system components or network devices and provide innovative solutions. + Provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology. + Experience working with Secure Linux-based servers, troubleshooting Linux boot issues, and providing fixes as required. + Produce reports and documents in support of system requirements and security certifications and write/contribute to white papers. + Intimately familiar with Linux OS security processes, issues, and challenges. Requirements + Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. + Minimum of 8 years of experience in Linux system administration, specifically with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). + Strong knowledge of system security measures, experience with SELinux, and firewall configurations. + Implement SELinux policies to enhance system security. + Experience with SELinux implementation and policy management + Experience evaluating system security based on standard controls (e.g., SELinux) + Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus. + Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex system issues effectively. + Strong communication skills, capable of working collaboratively with remote teams. + Certifications in RHEL (RHCE, RHCSA), Red Hat Certified Specialist in Security: Linux or similar. + Training in SELinux + RHEL: 8 years (Required) + SELinux: 3 years (Required) + Virtualization: 3 years (Required) + Containerization: 3 years (Required) Benefits + Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision) + Retirement Plan - 401k + Employer Paid Life Insurance (Basic) + FSA (Flexible Spending Account) + Paid Time Off + Paid Holidays Off + AFLAC (Supplementary Insurance) + Tuition Reimbursement Program EEO Statement Advanced Automation Corporation is an equal-opportunity employer.
