The Seller Engagement Specialist is part of a larger Digital and Omni channel platform and will be responsible for engaging with new and existing Sellers on MakerPlace. Responsibilities include identifying MakerPlace Sellers who may want to buy materials and supplies from Michaels, creating processes and best practices for engaging with these Sellers, building and managing a sales pipeline of “B2B” buyers, and working with leadership to build and improve the Seller Engagement program. A self-starter, you will work closely with the Seller Acquisition team and Growth Director while being the first person on the team fully focused on Engagement.
We are developing a world-class 3rd Party Marketplace for Makers to learn, grow, connect, and sell their handmade finished goods and services. This effort, alongside a significantly enhanced site experience and B2B Marketplace, will deliver a full transformation of the digital ecosystem for the company.
B2B Lead Generation
Working with the Seller Acquisition team, identify which new Sellers would be ideal targets for B2B sellingStrategize, prioritize, and execute on the most impactful Seller segmentsUse Salesforce to gather and analyze dataB2B Account Creation
Identify and refine effective value propositions across email (campaigns and 1:1), phone, and video callsDevelop and groom a B2B sales pipeline in Salesforce, setting and hitting targets for each stage of the funnelCreate Enterprise accounts for B2B accounts to reach “closed won”Serve as the front line of negotiating pricing with new B2B accountsBuild automation into your workflows to work as effectively as possibleB2B Account Management
After creating B2B accounts, engage with accounts understand the B2B mindset, where else they are shopping, and how to winWork with the Enterprise team to adjust pricing, create new Pro Packs, and other pricing and packaging activitiesIdentify areas to improve assortment, whether 1P or 3PMeet or exceed quota for componentry salesHelp build a seamless process as we grow the teamAffiliate Program Lead
Own the day-to-day support and servicing of our Seller Affiliate and Refer-A-Friend programs via GRINTrack and report out on Seller Affiliate revenuePartner with MakerPlace leadership to continuously improve the Seller Affiliate programOther duties as assigned
Minimum Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communication, or related field; or equivalent experienceMinimum Special Certifications or Technical Skills
