We are seeking a Semiconductor Virtualization & Performance Evaluation Manager, with proven experience in leading and creating a highly technical team responsible for semiconductor virtualization, performance modeling and prediction, and code optimization. This individual will be depended on executing the strategy for delivering semiconductor virtual models, analytical and simulation models, and the state of art technologies to predict application, algorithm, OS and real time applications’ performance, hardware and software architecture and code optimization, IP evaluation and semiconductor sizing. This individual will also be enabling utilization, configuration, and evaluation of industry leading performance evaluation benchmarks, and leading the efforts to develop custom benchmarks designed to provide performance measurements that will be used to compare compute-intensive workloads for various use cases and applications.

 

What you will be doing:

Extensively working with cross functional teams to design performance measurement methodology to benchmark and analyze MCU/SoC based system performance. Collaborating with software and system design teams to identify and profile critical workloads for CPU, GPU, NPU, memory and other subsystems’ performance and power consumption. Developing representative benchmarks for critical workloads and capture key workloads for simulation on performance models. Proactively setting up evaluation platform and benches, measuring various aspects of the system performance, analyzing performance under various application workloads. Frequently collecting vital performance data from various software applications for detailed analysis, deriving meaningful insights, and presenting findings in a scientific and graphical format that can be shared across multiple business units. Identifying hardware and software performance bottlenecks, and working closely with the architecture, system, application development, and integration teams to identify root causes of software and integration issues and verify solutions. Running and analyzing workloads on simulators, and prototype devices as well as working on developing and automating performance analysis. Documenting results, lessons learned and identify areas of improvement and opportunities of growth. Creating and managing a team of highly skilled semiconductor engineers and technical specialists. Creating a winning and inclusive work environment. Travel as required. Performing other duties as required

 

What you will need:

BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering. 10+ years of experience in automotive design, out of which 5+ years in one or more of – CPU microarchitecture definition, automotive SW application development, performance evaluation, software integration, code and power optimization, code debugging and analysis. Excellent understanding of industry leading performance analysis tools and strong Linux administrative skills. Experienced in programming in one or more of C, C++, System C, Python, Verilog, VHDL etc. Strong understanding of RTOS, AUTOSAR, Linux, QNX, and experienced in software integration with AUTOSAR, RTOS, BSP. Understanding of bare metal environment for software development. Analysis/debug tools such as TRACE32, Momentics, PyPAPI, Linux Kernel Utility, ARM PMU, and also ONNX, PyTorch, TensorFlow. Familiar with MCU/SoC development boards bring-up and software execution. Understanding of various system drivers’ usage, memory, ethernet, IO, PCIe, IPC. Strong understanding of CPU, GPU and NPU architectures, GPU API such as Vulkan, Open GL/CL. Exceptional collaboration and teamwork skills; demonstrated ability for working across functional and organizational boundaries. Exceptional demonstrated experience leading projects to completion. Strong problem-solving skills and proven ability to learn quickly.

 

Qualifications - Preferred

Master’s/Ph.D. degree in Engineering. Strong knowledge of System/Hardware/Software architecture for safety-critical automotive system applications. 5+ years of experience working with major automotive IDMs vendors and fabs, strong knowledge of industry trends and silicon roadmaps. 5+ years of experience with one or more of the following computing technologies: high performance x86 processors, multi core ARM systems, ISP technologies, GPU/NPU for artificial intelligence applications.

 

 

Schedule:  Hybrid Ways of Working 

 

Recruitment Salary Range:  $107,500 - $150,000

 

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized components, including location, skills, experience, and market factors. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus in addition to a full range of medical/health, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick/personal, and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position”.
