Supported Employment
We help people with disabilities develop work skills and connect with employers. We also provide job coaching and ongoing support.
+ AIM provides supported employment services to people with disabilities under contract with Adult Career and Continuing Education Services-Vocational Rehabilitation (ACCES-VR) and the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD).
+ Our employment specialists help people with disabilities develop work skills and connect with local employers. They also provide job training and ongoing support.
+ AIM provides community-based work assessments, benefits advisement, self-advocacy training, and job skills training such as resume building and practice interviews.
+ A two-week work readiness program covers work-related daily living skills, appropriate workplace conduct, employer expectations, effective communication, goal setting, and more.
+ We build relationships with area employers who hire people with disabilities and arrange work-based learning for students, work experiences, and job placements.
+ Our employment specialists provide on-site job coaching and ongoing support to maintain employment.
