Position Summary...Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales. Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities. Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.

Our Team:

OMS Platform, you will be responsible for building scalable, highly-available, enterprise-grade microservices to support the new OMS Platform transformation and accountable for the highest levels of service performance. You will also be responsible for driving the architecture and design that will move OMS from a legacy tech stack to a more modern tech stack while re-imaging how work gets done.

Position Responsibilities:

• Raise the bar on sustainable engineering by improving best practices, producing best in class of code, documentation, testing and monitoring.

• Estimate effort, identify risks.

• Mentor/coach other engineers in the team to facilitate their development and to provide technical leadership to them.

• Rise above details as and when needed to spot broader issues/trends and implications for the product/team.

Position Requirements:

• B.Tech. / B.E. / MTech. / M.S. in Computer Science

• 5-8 years of experience in design and development of highly scalable applications development in product based companies or R&D divisions.

• Strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, design patterns.

• Extensive hands-on experience building microservices using java

• Proficient in software development using CICD Pipelines and git.

• Proficient in unit testing using TestNG/Junit, writing mocks and automated functional tests

• Working knowledge of SQL /No-SQL and database technologies (Oracle, Cassandra DB, Hbase)

• Proficient in Kafka or other similar systems

• Strong desire to drive change, and ability to adapt to change quickly.

• Proficient in new and emerging technologies.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills - including negotiation, facilitation, and consensus building skills; ability to influence and persuade, without direct control.
