Senior, Source-to-Pay Process & Technology (Hybrid - 3 Days in Office)

Position Overview

The Source-to-Pay Process & Technology Senior will play an integral role in our continued journey of transforming ESC into a leading procurement organization and strategic business partner.  Reporting to the Senior Manager, Source-to-Pay Process & Technology, you will serve as change agent and problem solver, working to drive efficiencies, reduce waste, and increase value within and across a variety of functional supply chain areas, such as Source-to-Contract, Procure-to-Order, Invoice-to-Pay, Supplier Risk Management, and Contingent Worker Management through the use of enabling technology.  This exciting role is largely project based and will provide you with a breadth of experiences – no day will be same.

The Supply Chain Business Process & Technology team serves as a horizontal support function supporting the various delivery verticals (e.g., Category Management, Procurement Operations, Accounts Payable) within ESC.  We serve as the center of excellence and thought leadership function within the department, exploring ways to drive efficiencies and productivity through improvements in people, process, and technology.

Your Impact

In this role, you will:

Lead and/or support a variety of transformational projects within the Source-to-Pay space, often times involving the use of enabling technology

Perform a variety of diverse tasks, including process design, system configuration, functional testing, and training delivery

Partner with the delivery teams to diagnose pain points / bottlenecks and devise and implement a plan for resolution

Be a key contributor to the Change Control Board (CCB) process by evaluating and prioritizing change/enhancement requests, weighing return on investment against level of effort, and their implementation by in a structured manner by following ESC’s change management methodology

Review new functionality made available within our procurement software tools during periodic system releases, evaluate how / if it can be utilized to improve our processes and lead the implementation of these changes

Deliver training and support change management activities for internal ESC and business partners – once an improvement has been made, socialize it, reduce time for adoption, and make it stick

Create, maintain, and update documentation of our processes, including process flows, process narratives, and job aids 

Gather and analyze data to develop and test hypotheses
 

Qualifications

5-10 years of experience working in a supply chain / procurement organization or equivalent experience in a similar consulting role

In-depth understanding of the source-to-pay lifecycle, including handoffs, touchpoints, and tradeoffs

Understanding of SaaS-based procurement technologies and how they can be leveraged to drive efficiencies – deep technical knowledge is not required, however, must be able to “speak the language”

Track record of high performance in previous roles

BA/BS degree in supply chain management, operations management, engineering, or similar preferred

Prior experience and/or familiarity with cloud-based source-to-pay systems (e.g., Workday P2P, Workday Strategic Sourcing (formerly Scout RFP), Coupa, Ariba, preferred

Hands on category management or sourcing experience with indirect categories a plus

Excellent verbal and written communications – ability to synthesize and summarize complex problems and clearly and succinctly explain the “so what?”

Positive, upbeat personality and ability to empathize with business partners’ point of view to drive and influence change

Must be able to work well in a team environment, both in a lead and contributory role

Ability to be proactive, think ahead, and “manage up”

Ability to delve into the detailed minutiae of a specific task or process while maintaining perspective of its impact on the larger end-to-end process and “big picture” strategy

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $100,000 - $150,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
