Senior Account Executive - Learning Solutions
 

Reports to:  Sales Director 

Status: Full Time 

Location: Ottawa/Toronto/Remote 

Position Summary

In this hunter/farmer role, you will be crucial in achieving new customer acquisition, expanding existing client revenue and achieving territory growth objectives. You will accomplish this through your ability to sell the company's products and services in a consultative manner and create solutions that address client needs. To succeed, you must be comfortable completing dozens of outbound calls per day paired with creative prospecting via LinkedIn to continually build a funnel of opportunity.  

Role And Responsibilities 

Hunter/Prospector activities including networking through social media, emailing,  phone calls, and customer meetings, (both in person and virtual)Prospecting and closing training business within assigned organizations.Expanding current Learning Tree services to existing clients through white space planning and prospecting new lines of business within existing clients. Achieving daily call, email and LinkedIn sales metrics. Identify client needs and work collaboratively to design/develop learning solutions to meet client performance expectations while differentiating our solutions value proposition.Partner with internal resources to develop winning proposals, RFP responses and deliver compelling presentations to win new business.Actively manage a robust client portfolio to develop tactical and strategic relationships to better serve our clients culminating in revenue growth.Build and maintain accurate multi-year pipeline of sales opportunities.Responsible for meeting annual revenue objectives and goals (quotas) for assigned accounts, with annual target revenue responsibility.Develop an individual development plan to broaden skillsets and deepen knowledge of position to increase sales performance.Document Sales activity and customer contacts within Learning Tree provided CRM database.Participate routinely in networking events and associations to broaden your market presence and subject matter expertise. 

 Professional Experience, Qualification and Skills 

Three to five years of successful sales experience in a B2B sales role with emphasis on selling training or other service-oriented solutions  to major corporations and government clients. Experienced developing new business clients and expanding existing business relationships.Skillful with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, and LinkedInStrong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills with attention to detail. Strong customer-centered selling skills with the ability to ask circumstance, challenge and closing questionsTeam player mentality with a positive attitude is crucial.Strong business acumen. Independent; self-driven; well organized; inspires confidence in self, the product, and the company.Prior experience interacting with VP level / Director decision makers within an organization.Works well under pressure. Demonstrates sound business judgment, common sense, and insight.Able to articulate a specific process for uncovering new opportunities from scratch without the use of a lead generation function; able to use cold calling, networking, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator to get to decision makers and make a strong case for Learning Tree.Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed a minimum sales quota.

Education

Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree or equivalent experience preferred.
