Amazon Autos is embarking on a exciting journey to revolutionize the vehicle discovery and shopping experience that connects customers with their new vehicle of choice. You will work directly with dealers to resolve issues, ideate scalable solutions, build client-relationships and support the onboarding of net-new dealers to our platform. You should be comfortable managing multiple workflows in a fast-paced environment and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Above all, you should demonstrate a high level of ownership and the ability to thrive in ambiguity.
The ideal candidate for this role will have at least five years automotive experience, either at a cooperate level or in a dealership (as a General Manager, Sales Managers or in Finance). • Effectively and clearly communicate in person and through written mediums.
• Leverage their past experience in the automotive industry to bring to light new ways of thinking and look around corners.
• Highly proficient in an ambiguous environment and willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done.
• Comfortable moving quickly, without constant direction, and have a proven ability to leverage data and/or the information available to make informed decisions.
• Approach problems with a ‘scaling mindset’ where they think beyond a one-time solve, to ensure standardization across the account management team.
• Keen attention to detail, as they manage multiple dealerships at one time, to appropriately manage intricacies at the individual level.
A day in the life
As a Senior Account Manager, you will be based in our office (working in a hybrid capacity) and will travel to meet with dealers (up to 15%) across multiple metro locations. You will working cross-functionally with internal teams and partner with GM/VP-level dealer contacts to: a) onboard new dealers, b) resolve escalations and defects, and c) strategize growth opportunities – all while advocating for dealers with integrity.

This team specifically focuses on dealer facing interactions including 1) new dealership onboarding, 2) issue resolution and 3) dealership development. Our Account Managers function both tactically and strategically to root cause defects and implement scalable solutions.
