**Job Description:** ITW is seeking a Senior Accountant to be a part of the Corporate Accounting team. The Senior Accountant will have a strong understanding of financial processes within a large multinational corporate environment, strong written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated analytical skills, and be able to work independently. The Senior Accountant will report to the Manager, Corporate Accounting and work closely with members of corporate functional departments. + Monthly/Quarterly/Annual close processes including preparation of monthly journal entries and account reconciliations + Record equity compensation activity including monthly amortization, equity exercises and vestings, Director plan activity and prepare annual 10-K disclosure footnote + Track liability insurance spend and record adjustments to insurance reserves + Perform quarterly international IP royalty and R&D billing + Prepare Corporate and domestic payroll entries and maintain payroll bank account reconciliation + Support corporate departments including monthly reporting, accruals and forecast adjustments + Management of GL system including account maintenance, system parameters, close procedures and reconciliation to consolidation system + Identify areas for process improvement and streamlining to increase efficiency of department procedures and processes + Assist in preparation, consolidation and analysis of annual Corporate Plan + Assist with various projects, internal and external audit requests, ad hoc projects and assignments as they develop Qualifications and Skills + Bachelor’s degree in Business (finance or accounting), CPA a plus + Minimum 5 years relevant corporate and/or industry accounting experience; experience in Corporate Accounting and/or business analysis roles is preferred + Effective time management skills to manage multiples priorities and deadlines simultaneously + Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work in a diverse and multicultural environment are essential + Strong analytical skills and business/financial acumen + Attention to detail, with high standards of accuracy and review + High level of proficiency in utilizing Excel, including advanced formulas and basic macros; demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics GP and Oracle HFM a plus + Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Must be able to research and follow-up timely and independently on pending items + Ability to work 5 days a week onsite at the Glenview corporate office **Compensation Information:** The compensation package for the role offers a competitive base salary ranging from $82K - $100K annually.
