Roku is looking for a Senior Accountant, General Ledger to join the Corporate Accounting Team to support our growth. The ideal candidate works independently, drives projects from concept to completion, communicates well across teams and enjoys collaborating with people with a diverse set of talents, in a dynamic and fast paced environment. 

For California Only - The estimated annual salary for this position is between $135,000 and $140,250 annually. Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location. This role is eligible for health insurance, equity awards, life insurance, disability benefits, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off. 

 

What you’ll be doing  Key player in month-end close process  Responsible for preparing and maintaining accuracy for all lease and sub-lease accounting, reconciliations and required disclosures on a global basis  Main liaison with Real Estate team to ensure proper lease accounting treatments under ASC 842 lease accounting  Responsible for debt accounts and related reconciliation and disclosures  Responsible for select prepaid accounts and related amortization/reconciliation  Prepare balance sheet flux comments  Assist with and drive system enhancements and/or implementations  Improve efficiency on existing processes and reconciliations by challenging current methods   Support close optimization initiatives (including but not limited to Blackline tools, NetSuite functionality, etc.)  Provide support with ad-hoc journals, accruals, projects and reporting as requested. 

 

We’re excited if you have   Bachelor's degree in accounting or similar required  5+ years of experience in general ledger accounting with increasing responsibilities  Ability to apply knowledge of US GAAP, experience with SOX compliance and internal controls  Ability to conduct accounting research and summarize results accurately and independently  Strong communication skills and comfortable working cross-functionally with internal business partners  A passion for solving complex problems  Ability to work in a dynamic accounting department, juggle multiple projects and deliverables  Highly organized, great attention to detail, matched with ability to see and communicate the big picture  Strong Excel skills   Experience with implementing and using Tier 1 ERP Systems   “Systems person” with curiosity about transactions, data and processes  #LI-RR1 Benefits
