Overview of the Senior Accountant, SEC Reporting role
As a Senior Accountant in our SEC Reporting department, you are an integral member of the SEC Reporting team. You have a strong attention to detail all while thriving in a deadline-driven and fast-paced environment. You have a strong understanding of GAAP and are comfortable with managing multiple projects and priorities.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to, preparing public SEC filings, including Form 10-K, Form 10-Q, Form 8-K and Form 11-K; supporting Investor Relations with the preparation of earnings releases including financial statement preparation and tie-out of annual Investor Relations presentation, non-GAAP disclosures and tie-out of the Earnings Release and conference call script; preparation of journal entries and reconciliations in support of period-end close including stock-based compensation, special compensation and equity entries; performing technical research and analysis over public disclosures; and being a key resource to our auditors during quarterly reviews and annual integrated audits. This is a highly visible role with exposure to the CFO, CAO and Corporate Controller.
Responsibilities
Compile financial information and prepare SEC filings (10-Qs, 10-Ks, 8-Ks and 11-Ks) including financial statements, supporting schedules and disclosures as well as earnings releases and conference call scripts Planning and coordination of the filing of our SEC documents in Wdesk (our SEC filing software) Work with your manager and the SEC reporting team to prepare new disclosures, assess impact of new accounting guidance and changes in guidance, and document in memos for both internal and external use Be a key resource to our auditors and support the management of quarterly reviews and the Company’s annual integrated audits. Prepare journal entries, variance analyses, and account reconciliations in support of the period-end close process. These accounting areas include stock-based compensation, special compensation, earnings per share, stock repurchases and other equity accounting. Prepare budgets and forecasts for centrally planned general ledger accounts, including liaising with Compensation and Benefits department to budget and forecast for various compensation programs. Ensure compliance with policies and procedures in accordance with our SOX requirements. Liaise with SOX 404 Compliance to coordinate SOX quarterly certifications for the Company’s business owners. Review business SOX responses and continuously improve upon control environment. Complete special projects including review/analysis of peer group’s SEC comment letters and public filings/disclosures for benchmarking purposes. Additionally, assist with review of contracts and other documents for accounting implications. Lead coordination with Sustainability team, Legal and SOX 404 Compliance to prepare for new climate-related disclosures. This includes working on our Impact Report as well as other GHG emission reporting compliance. Coordinate with various departments including Compensation and Benefits, Corporate Finance and Investor Relations, Treasury, Property Accounting, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Risk Management, Tax, SOX 404 Compliance, Sustainability, and Legal on a regular basis.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines Strong organization and planning skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to analyze and question data for reasonableness, proper accounting and consistency Ability to communicate both verbally and through written mediums in a clear and concise manner with other Finance counterparts of all levels in resolving or providing answers for related accounting issues/questions Ability to research technical accounting issues and present conclusions on such findings Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles 2-3 years’ experience, including experience in public accounting; consumer product and SEC filing experience preferred Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and CPA required (or completion of all exams required within 2 years of start date) Extended hours during month-end close and/or peak filing times may be required

The expected starting pay rate for this position is $110,000 - $120,000. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to competitive pay, compensation may include a variety of other components like benefits, paid time off, merit, and bonus opportunities.
