Senior Accountant (exempt)

Teledyne ETM is seeking a full-time Senior Accountant in our Newark, California office, reporting to Controller.  In-office work is required Monday through Friday. Month-end and year-end close may require working some holidays and weekends.

In this role, you will support our Accounting Department in various tasks, with the opportunity to learn and grow.

Annual Rate $75k-$125k DOE + Annual Bonus Incentive

Responsibilities

Assist with financial close tasks & reporting.Prepare & enter Journal entriesPerform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.Support internal & external auditsDaily review of banking transactions and cash reconciliationsAnalyze Labor & Inventory costsAdminister and maintain company credit card accountsWork collaboratively with other departments within the organization.Provide solutions to accounting issues as they ariseSupport functional accounting by managing general ledger transactions on an on going basis.Perform various general ledger reconciliations in preparation for month end close.Assist in Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and internal control requirements.Support various quarterly and annual financial audits.Ad Hoc analysis as needed.Assist with other assigned tasks as neededWork availability can include evenings and weekends when necessary to reach goals and deadlines

Requirements and Skills

Strong understanding of operational accounting & financials statementsMonth-end close responsibility experienceCost accounting experience in manufacturing environment a plusAccounts Receivable & Accounts Payable experience a plusAdvanced Excel skills requiredProblem Solving SkillsBe a team player, supporting and helping others with a positive attitudeMust be detail-oriented with strong organizational & time management skills.Ability to work with minimal supervisionExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAdherence to all company policies, procedures and safety rulesMust have Initiative and be a self-starter

Experience/Education

Bachelors degree ,CPA license and/or Master’s preferred. College Degree in Accounting or Finance froman accredited college or universityMinimum 3 year of hands-on working experience in similar listed responsibilities.Working knowledge of SOX and GAAPWork Experience of ERP systems with accounting transactions, e.g. Oracle, SAP

  

Salary Range:

$74,800.00-$99,880.000
