The Opportunity

The Senior Accountant is an important part of the accounting team and will support a diverse range of subjects across multiple business process cycles. The ideal candidate possesses a positive attitude, is self-motivated, and eager to learn new things while having an impact across a broad scope of areas at the Company.  Further, the ideal candidate will have a focus on optimizing processes to be more scalable and efficient in preparation for future growth and globalization of the Company.

What You Will Contribute

Prepares complex journal entries, reconciliations, disclosure footnotes and accounting analysis applicable to the groupA relentless approach to learning with the ability to make connections among previously unrelated notions and come up with a lot of new and unique ideasDevelop a strong understanding of the holistic Avidity business and processes to help build and prepare for long-term success.Integrate with other functions to the extent needed to optimize key process and ensure scalable growthProvides support and direction to a wide range of other departments and business areasSupport recent system implementations and participate in future onesHas a customer service mindset when working with other groupsIntellectually curious and drive to understand the “why” behind each process and proceduresAbility to think outside the box and develop new processes and process improvementsTypically works autonomously with little instruction on day-to-day workSeeks out growth opportunitiesSelf-starter with strong internal driveBuilds cross functional relationships

What We Seek

        4+ Years of experience that includes both Auditing and Corporate Accounting         Strong knowledge of US GAAP and able to articulate accounting theory        Advanced self-review skills        Advanced organizational skills        Intermediate Excel/MS Office & ERP skills

Preferred Background

Big 4 or other Large National Audit Firm experienceCorporate Accounting experience in a SOX environmentExperience with D365 or other large ERP systems Biotech and clinical accounting experienceLicensed CPA or in progress with the CPA Exam What We will Provide to You:The base salary range for this role is $95,000-$117,500. The final compensation will be commensurate with such factors as relevant experience, skillset, internal equity and market factors.Avidity offers competitive compensation and benefits which includes the opportunity for annual and spot bonuses, stock options and RSUs, as well as a 401(k) with an employer match.
