Summary (Major Purpose of the Role):

Responsible for the general accounting function, including preparing journal entries, maintaining balance sheet schedules and ledgers, and performing account and bank reconciliations. Assist with monthly closings, account analysis, and support the Accounting Manager in fulfilling the responsibilities of the accounting department. Assist with special projects assigned by management, ensuring all deliverables comply with regulatory guidance and professional standards.

 

Main Activities/Responsibilities:

Prepare journal entries and analysis of accounts including Prepaids, Sales returns and allowances, inventory reserve and other key areas.Monthly financial statement close work completed in accordance with closing schedule.Account analysis and reconciliation on assigned balance sheets accounts, identify discrepancies and alert the Controller if necessary.Reconcile international intercompany.Assist with preparation and coordination of various audits.Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.Assists Drive Medical management as required in special projects as required.Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks with high level of difficulty.The individual will be expected to work with minimal up-front guidance and take ownership of his / her work product. The individual will work closely with all major functional leaders of the Company.Other duties may be assigned.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance3-5 years of relevant work experienceCertified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is a plus

Pursuant to New York law, Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare provides a salary range in job advertisements. The salary range for this role is from $90,000.00 to $107,000.00 per year. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors such as the applicant’s experience, specialization, education, as well as the company’s requirements. The provided salary range does not include bonuses, incentives, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits which may be offered to the applicant, if eligible according to the company’s policies.
