Senior Accountant

What you'll do As the Senior Accountant, you have in-depth knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, proficiency in accounting systems, and strong motivation to contribute to the achievement of an accurate and efficient close process. You pay great attention to detail, deliver results under deadlines, and work effectively cross-functionally in a rapidly changing environment. Your areas of focus will be payroll and deferred costs. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager. Responsibility Record month-end payroll and deferred contract cost accruals Work with Payroll, Total Rewards, and HR to prepare journal entries (e.g., payroll, expat tax, 401(k) funding, benefits) Identify and resolve key issues Perform reconciliations for all related general ledger accounts and investigate variances Perform monthly and quarterly flux analysis over accrual and expense balances Provide recommendations for streamlining or automating processes Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with internal controls Participate in payroll and other special projects and analyses as needed Job Designation Remote: Employee is not required to be in or near an office frequently and works from a designated remote work location for the majority of the time. Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job. What you bring Basic Degree in Finance or Accounting with a CPA or equivalent 5+ years of experience in payroll and general ledger accounting Preferred Experience with ADP payroll system Experience with Oracle or other large ERP systems High degree of analytical and problem-solving capability Strong desire to learn and grow Ability to work independently and balance multiple responsibilities simultaneously Strong critical thinking and analytical skills Proficient in Excel and PC Meticulous attention to detail Thorough understanding of US GAAP Proficient verbal and written communication skills Familiar with Google Workspace Wage Transparency Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations: California: $94,000.00 - $136,600.00 base salary Washington and New York (including NYC metro area): $89,400.00 - $122,125.00 base salary This role is also eligible for bonus and benefits.
