A Day in Your Life at MKS:As a Senior Accountant at MKS Instruments, Inc., you will partner with departments and global locations to complete month end close. Supporting various accounting functions related to but limited to, fixed assets, allocations, intercompany, and accruals. In this role, you will report to the Accounting Manager. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days/week in our Andover, MA office. You Will Make an Impact By:
• Develops, implements and/or maintains one or a combination of general accounting systems• Prepares journal entries, maintains and reconciles ledger accounts• Provides record of assets, liabilities and other financial transactions• Performs complete fixed asset process and intercompany cross charges• May interpret reports and records for managers• Travel Requirements: Up to 10 % of Travel is required.Skills You Bring:
• Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 8 years of related experience• Advanced current knowledge of US GAAP accounting and auditing standards, regulatory requirements, and company accounting policies and practices• Proven track record of implementing process improvements• Demonstrated behaviors of eagerness to win, ownership, and teaming up to excel for the team• Well-developed analytic and problem-solving skills• Strong communication and interpersonal skills• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver assignments• Experience with SAP and Oracle• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applicationsPhysical Demands and Working Conditions:
• Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time• Regularly requires good manual dexterity and coordination• Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand• Must be able to exchange accurate information• The ability to observe documents and details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)• Operates in a professional office environment• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery• Noise level in the work environment is usually average
