Senior Accountant
Description A company in Studio City is looking for a Senior Accountant to oversee our accounting department's daily operations. You will be managing financial functions, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll and bank reconciliations. Also, your role will involve maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, performing periodic financial analysis and delivering on time, accurate and compliant financial reporting to all levels of the organization. Responsibilities: Preparation and review of monthly financial statements in a timely and accurate manner. Oversee routine department activities, such as disbursing checks and processing payroll, to ensure that they are completed accurately and on time. Maintain the accuracy of the company’s reported financial transactions. Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements. Coordinate the preparation of annual audits, reviews and tax returns with external auditors. Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation. Collate and analyze financial data, explore any issues raised and recommend appropriate actions to be taken. Coach junior accounting staff and contribute to their professional development. Maintain the company's financial policies and procedures, and ensure they are followed. Collaborate with management on development and execution of funding strategies. Requirements Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business. Proven work experience as an Accountant, preferably with at least 5 years in a supervisory role. Must have a CPA or similar qualification. Expertise in financial software applications, databases, spreadsheets, and MS Office. A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and business acumen. Outstanding planning and organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to summarize and present complex financial data in an organized, concise manner. High level of personal and professional integrity and trustworthiness. Enthusiasm for improving systems and processes.
