Senior Accountant
Description We are in the search for a meticulous Sr. Accountant to join our team in West Memphis, Arkansas. This role primarily revolves around overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, preparing financial reports, conducting month-end and year-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and other accounting standards. Responsibilities • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department • Prepare financial statements and reports for management • Conduct month-end and year-end close processes • Perform general ledger reconciliations and account analysis • Ensure compliance with GAAP and other accounting standards • Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting • Provide technical accounting guidance to the team • Utilize accounting software such as Sage for financial management • Handle corporate accounting tasks efficiently • Balance Sheet Reconciliation, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, Month-end Close Activities, Month-end Financial, Month-end Journal Entries, Perform Month-end, Month-end Reports, Financial Statement Preparation, Budget Processes, Budgeting - Forecasting, Sage Accounting Software, HealthCare Industry Requirements • Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation, General Ledger, and Journal Entries. • Proficient usage of Microsoft Excel. • Experience with Month End Close, Month-end Close Activities, Month-end Financial, Month-end Journal Entries, Perform Month-end, and Month-end Reports. • Capability to prepare Financial Statements. • Knowledge of Budget Processes and Budgeting - Forecasting. • Familiarity with Sage Accounting Software. • Experience in the HealthCare Industry. • Ability to perform tasks independently and as part of a team. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred. • Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Familiarity with financial regulations and legislation. • Strong ethical standards and integrity.
