Job Summary: The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department. This role includes monitoring and analyzing accounting data, producing financial reports or statements, and establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, and principles. Key Responsibilities: * Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) * Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and payroll * Coordinate and complete annual audits * Provide financial analysis and forecasting * Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures * Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations * Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes * Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff * Collaborate with other departments to support overall company goals and objectives
