Senior Accountant
Now Hiring an Accountant Pay: $35hr- $43hr Location: Plymouth, MN Schedule: Onsite- extremely flexible as they pride themselves on being family oriented. Overview: Seeking an Accounting professional with a passion in construction who will be the right hand person to the owner. As an organization of $25M in revenue it is critical that this individuals admires and is passionate in a family oriented environment. Job Summary: The Construction Accountant will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of our construction projects. This includes budgeting, cost tracking, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction accounting and be able to work collaboratively with project managers and other team members. Key Responsibilities: + Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for construction projects. + Monitor project budgets and expenditures, ensuring costs are within budget. + Generate and analyze financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. + Perform cost analysis and provide financial insights to project managers. + Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements. + Manage accounts payable and receivable related to construction projects. + Reconcile bank statements and project accounts. + Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts. + Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits. + Provide support for tax preparation and filing. Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. + CPA or CMA certification preferred not required. + Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction accounting. + Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage 300, Procore). + Strong understanding of construction cost accounting and financial management. + Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. + Strong attention to detail and accuracy. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
