Description We are in search of an Accountant to join our team in Paterson, New Jersey. In this role, you will be handling customer-related financial matters, ensuring accurate records, and efficiently dealing with customer inquiries. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities • Accurately reconcile customer accounts to keep financial records up-to-date • Handle payable invoices with precision and timeliness • Utilize QuickBooks Enterprise for financial management and reporting • Monitor and review customer accounts for discrepancies and irregularities • Efficiently resolve customer queries related to their accounts • Take appropriate action on customer accounts when necessary, based on monitoring results • Ensure accuracy and efficiency while processing customer credit applications • Maintain and update customer credit records accurately and consistently. Requirements • The applicant should hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • A minimum of five years' experience in an accounting role is required. • Comprehensive knowledge of Account Reconciliation is essential. • Proven experience with Payable Invoices is a must. • Proficiency in using QuickBooks Enterprise software is necessary. • Excellent numerical skills and meticulous attention to detail are crucial. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are desired. • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines is required. • The applicant should be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team. • A certification in accounting, such as a CPA, is preferred.
