The Senior Accountant is responsible for a corporate entity and ensures that all transactions are accounted for in accordance with GAAP as well as perform inter-company billings for diverse and varied processes. The Senior Accountant processes month-end close including the review of reconciliations and month-end balances and research of income statement variances.
Location: Hybrid - Medford or Portland
Compensation: $65,000-$85,000 DOE
Responsibilities
Financial Accounting
Perform and review recurring monthly accounting activities, including reconciliations, journal entries and administration of other corporate accounting duties for the Driveway company, ensuring that all transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP.
Analyze balance sheet accounts and document results during the month-end close process.
Research and understand other accounting issues and topics as necessary.
Driveway Finance Financial Corporation / LMDC Accounting
Perform and review recurring monthly accounting activities, including reconciliations, journal entries and administration of the Company’s full spectrum loan portfolio (DFC), and the Company’s wholesale parts business (LMDC).
Analyze balance sheet accounts and document results during the month-end close process.
Calculate, analyze and create recording entries for DFC loss reserve.
Create and analyze reconciliations, reporting, and communication of Asset Backed Securities (ABS) data
Help maintain strategic relationships for ABS warehouse line
Assist in preparation for ABS term market including data testing, report creation, and creating relationships
Collaboration and Mentorship
Proactively address accounting issues in coordination with stakeholders.
Provide an example to other members of the Corporate Accounting team, providing training and guidance as requested by your supervisors.
