Cleveland-Cliffs Steel has an immediate opening for a Senior Accountant/Senior Financial Analyst at our Headquarters in Cleveland, OH, who will support our Princeton Coal Location. The Senior Accountant/Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for accumulating, analyzing, and reporting cost information for an assigned operating area. This information is communicated to management and manufacturing personnel for decision making and the efficient and economical use of company resources.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Prepare the quarterly forecasts, including related presentations
Prepare the annual budget, including related presentations
Roll forward forecasts for prior month actuals
Load Budgets / Forecasts to Power BI
Prepare & Submit monthly Fixed Asset Activity
Review monthly survey Inventory Roll forward
Prepare month end inventory calculations
Prepare and record various journal entries
Prepare all statistical journal entries
Prepare and record monthly support allocations
Prepare monthly GL Detail report
Prepare month end financial statements
Populate monthly Asset Review Package with actuals
Prepare capital reporting
Prepare & Distribute Monthly LIFO Inventory schedule
Prepare & Distribute Monthly ABL reports
Prepare fixed asset roll forward
Daily reconciliation of production, shipments & inventory
Bank Account Reconciliations (Monthly)
Prepare & Distribute MTD Snapshot (Daily)
Prepare & Distribute MTD Spending Report (Daily)
Prepare & Distribute MTD Cost report (Weekly)
Prepare & Distribute MET Bi-Monthly Update
Minimum Qualifications:
·Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
·Knowledge and ability to interpret accounting results, identify special problems, analyze causes, and recommend improvements or corrective actions.
·Strong analytical skills
Report Writing and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
·Experience in a manufacturing environment.
·5+ years’ experience in financial reporting and analysis
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Power Query and Power BI
Computer skills to effectively use software to analyze financial information, identify trends, establish portfolios and make forecasts
