Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for general ledger activities, providing backup support for indirect tax and will manage accounts payable and receivable, month-end close processes, reconciliations, audits, and compliance requirements. Attention to detail, the ability to prioritize tasks, and working well under deadlines are essential. Expertise in Excel. This role primarily requires an onsite presence.
ResponsibilitiesComplete key functions as part of the month-end closing process, including journal entry preparation and input, balance sheet reconciliations, and account analysis.Maintain submissions required for annual registrations to keep the company legally compliant with government jurisdictions, including business licenses and other state or federal submissions.Assist with data preparation for US or Canada government or other agency audits.Complete various government census surveys.Support general ledger audit requests.Support corporate entity requests for audit information, tax requirements, and financial specifications.Assist with corporate tax submissions for year-end provisions, extension filings, and final returns.Support corporate tax, property tax, and business license review and payments.Assist with direct tax compliance for US/Canada, including sales and use tax, gross receipts tax, and 1099 annual filings.Analyze and respond to inquiries from governmental jurisdictions to resolve corporate tax submission discrepancies.Interface and support requests from internal employees in various business areas, including Sales, AR/customers, AP/suppliers, Tax, HR, and Legal.Perform ad hoc analysis as required.Provide backup support for processing employee expense reports and indirect tax accounting.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business, or equivalent combination of education and experience.3-5+ years of experience in General Accounting, Finance, General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable processes.Excellent balance sheet reconciliation skills.Ability to analyze financial data and prepare journal entries and reconciliations.Expert Microsoft Excel skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with SAP, S/4HANA, Vertex, or similar enterprise systems.Experience with US taxes, compliance requirements, and audits is preferred.Self-starting individual eager to learn and curious.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to navigate and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment with continuous deadlines.Work Environment
This position requires a fully onsite presence, with allowances for remote work if necessary. The work environment is dynamic, with continuous deadlines and a need for excellent organizational skills. Benefits include a performance bonus of up to 5%, full benefits package, 24 days of PTO, and 9 paid holidays annually.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $100000.00
5% max annual, bonus is a sliding scale (85,000-$95,000)
