OVERVIEW AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The Senior Accountant provides organized and detail oriented professional services for full cycle general ledger/accounting support within the accounting/finance division of a growing financial company. This person is responsible to perform the following functions for Acumen, LLC. and the companies that contract with Acumen, LLC.

G/L postings, cost-center allocations, prepaid expenses, and accrued liabilities support.Monthly Balance sheet reconciliations and transactional review including revenue and expense analysis.Manage fixed assets and produce monthly fixed asset reporting using the FAS Software.Daily cash reconciliation and cash-flow monitoring assistance.Monthly close and financial statement preparation assistance; including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow.Maintain workers compensation insurance policies and endorsement tracking.Support and assist with reporting and compliance for payroll, property, sales and income tax filings.Budgeting and variance support.Assist with monitoring integrity of the GL accounting system, chart of accounts and subaccount list.Support and assist with AP, Corporate AR, and Cash management functions.Update and maintain policies & procedure documentation.In collaboration with key financial and department personnel, meet the contractual commitments to the client(s) through timely and accurate reporting and issue resolution.Assist with coordination and responses to external auditors.Correspond with banks and other agencies for issue resolution and responses to inquiries in a professional manner.Assist with managing special projects as needed.Perform other job-related duties as directed by supervisor.ALL Acumen employees will be vigilant to support the positive compliant cybersecurity company posture by familiarizing themselves with all policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines and act

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree in accounting or related field required: CPA or CPA candidate preferred.A minimum of 5 years experience in accounting, at both transactional and analysis level.Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Experience with multi-company/divisional financials; budgeting and job costing highly desirable.Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills are a must. Strong time management skills with the ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy are needed in order to meet deadlines. Must have strong planning, analytical and problem-solving skills. Must be a team player with a positive attitude and self-motivation. Computer skills needed: MS Excel (advanced skills such as Vlookups, pivot tables and macros are preferred), MS Word, Enterprise Accounting Software (MS Dynamics Solomon experience is a plus).Ability to work both independently and as a member of the accounting team. Must be able to work effectively with department co-workers as well as with members of other departments. Must be able to interface professionally both inside and outside of the organization
