OverviewThe main responsibility of the GL – PTO & Benefits Accountant will be month end close processes, including analysis, reconciliation and internal audit type functions. The GL – PTO & Benefits Accountant will also contribute to process improvements and other duties as assigned.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities:
Prepare PTO accrual entries on a monthly basis based on the most recent payroll reports and timecards taken for PTO.Work cross-functionally with HR to ensure timely and accurate reporting of benefits related transactions and ensure the accounting team has the proper reports for monthly accruals and quarterly reporting.Collaborate with FP&A to ensure forecast/plan accurately match latest information regarding benefits.Prepare schedules and conduct analysis to support month over month fluctuations.Assist with providing support to external auditors. Qualifications Has developed knowledge of a body of technical, support or administrative policies and procedures, specifically pertaining to benefits and PTO accounting.Accomplished in implementing practical procedures or systems, which are moderately complex and require extended skill.Basic understanding of GAAP and Accounting Principles.Experience:
3-5 years of relevant accounting experience.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook.Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalentWhat do we offer
