Description
1.\tGeneral Accounting Functions:
o\tPrepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
o\tPerform general ledger account reconciliations and maintain supporting documentation.
o\tManage accruals, prepaids, and fixed assets schedules.
o\tConduct bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
o\tCalculate physician compensation and ensure proper documentation and reporting.
2.\tMonth-End and Year-End Close Processes:
o\tEnsure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
o\tReview journal entries for accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
3.\tFinancial Analysis:
o\tPerform complex calculations for physician productivity and compensation analysis.
o\tAssist in analyzing variances in financial results against budgets and forecasts.
o\tProvide recommendations to improve financial performance and reduce costs.
4.\tAudit and Compliance:
o\tSupport internal and external audits by preparing audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
o\tEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies.
5.\tProcess Improvement:
o\tIdentify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices.
o\tCollaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial reporting and systems.
6.\tOther Duties as Assigned:
o\tProvide support for special projects, ad-hoc reporting, and analysis as needed.
o\tMentor and support junior accounting staff, if applicable.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
1.\tEducation and Experience:
o\tBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
o\tCPA or CMA certification a plus.
o\t5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in the healthcare industry
2.\tSkills and Competencies:
o\tStrong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
o\tProficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
o\tExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
o\tStrong attention to detail and organizational skills.
o\tEffective communication skills, both written and verbal.
o\tAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
3.\tTechnology:
o\tFamiliarity with financial reporting tools is a plus.
o\tExperience with GP Dynamics is highly desirable.

The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $48.08
