Job Title: Senior Accountant
Job Description

Lead monthly financial closings, prepare journal entries, and oversee cash disbursements and tax liabilities. Master the financial reporting system, train new staff, and support the existing team with report writing. Prepare internal reports for management, summarizing financial performance, including census and productivity. Monitor financial margins, investigate discrepancies, and ensure accurate reporting. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and supporting Executive Directors in completing annual budgets. Administer the financial system (Cognos), manage banking relationships, and oversee electronic user rights. Play a key role in annual tax returns, insurance renewals, and external audits. Ensure accuracy of property, equipment, and depreciation schedules. Review and enhance internal controls and accounting policies for efficiency and compliance.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $29.81 - $34.62
