Senior Accountant
Job Title: AccountantJob Description Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances. Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting. Research technical accounting issues for compliance. Support month-end and year-end close processes. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. Additional controller duties as necessary. Essential Skills + Proven working experience as a Controller/Accounting Manager in the manufacturing industry. + 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience. + Bachelor's degree in Accounting. + Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures. + Experience with creating financial statements. + Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process. + Excellent accounting software user and administration skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + CPA or CMA preferred. + Experience in cost accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. + Strong skills in journal entry, reconciliation, and financial reporting. + Ability to manage balance sheets and financial statements. + Experience in budgeting and forecasting. Work Environment The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM. The role includes collaborating with two accounting assistants and reporting to the VP. The organization is a rapidly growing entity with a $20 million budget. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $46.00/hr.
