Senior Accountant
Job Title: Sr. Accountant

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Accountant who will be responsible for facilitating and completing research accounting, preparing financial statements, analyzing financial performance, and supporting the accounting team with various projects and audits. This role is ideal for someone with a strong knowledge in accounting who is passionate about making a positive impact.

ResponsibilitiesHigh volume account and balance sheet reconciliationsHeavy Excel work (VLOOKUP’s and pivot tables – daily basis) Data Manipulation & Data Mining Preparing, processing, and recording the daily on-line deposits to ensure proper designation of funds;Ensure that all gifts are receipted and reported timely in donor and accounting applications;Ensure timely completion of reporting to third party entities;Reconcile pledge receivables and prepare the Pledge Roll forward schedule monthly.Assist in helping with special projects as requested by management;Assist with annual audits;Research, develop and maintain accounting policies in accordance with GAAPEssential SkillsExpertise in accounting, general ledger, reconciliation, and journal entries.Proficiency in preparing and analyzing financial statements.Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting policies.5-7 years of experience in accounting, with public accounting experience being a plus.Highly skilled in data mapping/mining in excelAdditional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Accounting.Experience with nonprofit accounting is a plus.Work EnvironmentEnjoy a relaxed work environment with a hybrid schedule. The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $45.00/hr.
