Purpose of the position

We, at Cargotec, are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Hiab team! This role is essential in ensuring accurate and efficient financial operations across multiple countries. You will be responsible for key accounting processes, including month-end general ledger close, balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting activities.

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a vital role in overseeing the end-to-end accounting processes — including Order-to-Cash (OTC), Invoice-to-Pay (ITP) and HR-related financial activities — ensuring they are correctly recorded and aligned with company policies.

Main tasks and responsibilities Deliver accounting services by ensuring data accuracy, adhering to controls and procedures, identifying anomalies, collaborating with the Team Coordinator, and supporting transition activities. Work independently with minimum supervision within a given business or region Comply with internal control procedures and accounting policies in compliance with CAS; ensure all the documentation is up-to-date and accurate Responsible for financial reporting operational activities Take initiatives and provide support for multiple roles in the area of Record to Report Participate/lead cross trainings of associates and new team members Acts as primary point of contact for selected partners and/or processes Any other tasks assigned by the line manager related to the areas of accountability What you’ll need to succeed University Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics At least 4 years of relevant experience in finance operations Experience with simple to complex query handling Good MS-office skills, ERP knowledge required. SAP knowledge will be a strong advantage Process knowledge on Record to Report Proficiency of written and oral English required You will be part of
