The Senior Accountant will perform duties to assist with the month-end close, financial reporting, account analysis and reconciliations. They will assist with other analytical studies and responsibilities as required. The job has managerial responsibilities that will require coaching/mentoring. This position follows a hybrid work structure where employees must be in person in our office twice a week.

Responsibilities

Duties include but not limited to the following:

Prepares monthly reports and records by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information.Prepares daily and monthly journal entriesPrepare documentation for external auditors including analysis for single audit.Performs grant related functions, including budget and expense analysis; reviews general ledger transactions to ensure accuracy and complete journal entries; communicates with fiscal contacts at funding source for problem resolution and information gathering.Ensures accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close Qualifications

Education/ Experience

Accounting Degree or equivalent (Associates degree or higher)At least 5-7 years experience

Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities

Strong interpersonal skills with a high degree of analytical abilityVerbal and communication skillsAbility to act and operate independentlyMust be PC proficientMust be able to multi-task and prioritize work
