The Senior Accountant will be responsible for General accounting duties with focus on month-end closing including the preparation of journal entries in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other financial closing processes.
What you’ll do as a Senior Accountant:
+ Variance analysis of actual results vs. prior year and budget.
+ Preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations and supporting schedules.
+ Review intercompany transactions and reconcile intercompany balances with global partners at Cartamundi.
+ Assists with loading of monthly financial statements into the corporate financial consolidation software.
+ Prepares Accounts Receivable Aging and Accounts Payable Aging reports and reviews key findings with finance leader, initiates follow-up’s on open items.
+ Reviews and processes various customer debit and credit notes.
+ Assists with various audit and tax requests.
+ Assists in documenting and implementing best practices for financial and accounting procedures.
+ Other general accounting work as directed.
We’re looking for a Senior Accountant with:
+ Bachelor’s degree in accounting
+ 2 to 3 years in accounting environment or public accounting experience preferred
+ SAP experience preferred
+ Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, tables.
+ Strong knowledge of debit and credits and US GAAP
+ High regard for accuracy and attention to details
+ Ability to meet deadlines, self-start, research potential solutions, prioritize work, and follow through

Physical requirements and working conditions:
Our manufacturing Plant is comprised of enclosed office and manufacturing space. This position requires the ability to:
+ Move throughout the entire facility to attend to various issues
+ Work effectively in teams across functional groups with strong communication skills and the ability to lead
+ Perform sedentary work on various computer systems
+ This Senior Accountant position is located On-site in our Erlanger, KY facility
