Job Description
+ Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
+ Develop and maintain complex financial models and analyses to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
+ Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
+ Conduct variance analysis and provide detailed explanations for financial discrepancies.
+ Identify and resolve complex accounting issues, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
+ Collaborate with executives and other departments to communicate financial information effectively.
+ Utilize sound judgment to analyze and interpret financial data, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
+ Apply capitation principles to monies received and standard general ledger coding to revenues and expenses.
+ Understand and apply claims and authorizations concepts to patient-related expenses.
+ Perform self-auditing of work to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
A relevant combination of education and experience may be substituted to meet minimum requirements. Expert knowledge of Excel and Access including the ability to write formulas, create pivot tables and develop macros to complete tasks.
• Seven years of related experience is required; managed care or related healthcare setting is highly preferred. Proven knowledge of budgeting, accounting, financial operations, productivity, Microsoft applications (word, excel, etc.).
• High School Diploma/GED - Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting preferred.
• Requires ability to communicate in English (verbal and written) for effective communication with executives throughout the organization. Ability to identify complex accounting practices and provide recommendations for corrective action. Ability to accurately analyze and interpret financial data. Ability to work independently and utilize sound judgment to identify and resolve accounting issues. Ability to understand and apply capitation principles to monies received. Ability to understand and apply standard general ledger coding to revenues and expenses. Ability to understand and apply claims and authorizations concepts to patient related expenses
• Knowledge of arithmetic, including ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole and fractional numbers. Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and interpret numerical data. Expert knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and practices (GAAP). Understands and is able to apply generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to work independently to produce financials, variance explanations, account analysis, reports and self-auditing of work.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $48.00/hr.
