Senior Accountant
Job Title: Senior AccountantJob Description The Senior Accountant will oversee finance and accounting for manufacturing and laboratory projects, revenue and expense planning, and business intelligence. The role involves ensuring compliance with regulations, enhancing financial procedures, and providing critical fiscal information to Senior Management to support the development and manufacturing of cell and gene therapy projects. Responsibilities + Manage corporate accounting, financial analysis, budgeting/forecasting, and month-end reporting. + Ensure compliance with SOX, GAAP, and other internal and external regulations. + Implement global finance procedures and process improvement initiatives. + Compile and analyze monthly actuals, accruals-deferrals, forecasts, and budgets. + Review business unit annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and other corporate deliverables. + Assist in compliance and audit initiatives, providing support to compliance teams. + Analyze complex financial information to provide recommendations for decision making. + Plan and implement financial reporting and business analytics platforms. + Establish communication with key stakeholders to ensure financial compliance. + Provide operational oversight to ensure customer-focused service delivery. + Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills + Deep knowledge of corporate accounting, compliance, audit, GAAP, and SOX. + Experience in pharma, biotech, or cell and gene therapy industries. + Successful track record of driving profitability in a matrix organization. + Ability to develop and maintain financial reports. + Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP and Microsoft environments. + Strong skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access). + Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and journal entries. + Knowledge of cost accounting functions such as COGS and bill of materials. + Experience in a SOX or internal controls environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. + 7+ years of experience with US GAAP functions. + 3+ years of experience with cost accounting functions. + 2+ years of experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar. + 3+ years of experience with creating pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and formulas within Microsoft Excel. Work Environment This role is part of an 8-member accounting team and reports to the Senior Management. The position is based in King of Prussia, PA, with a hybrid work schedule requiring onsite presence three days a week, with flexibility on which days. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
