Job DescriptionOpportunity and Vision
As the Senior Accountant you will demonstrate a deep knowledge of general ledger accounting and reporting and provide innovative solutions for process and policy improvement. You will play a critical role extracting and analyzing information from SAP to determine if accruals or adjustments are required.
Our group’s work product has high visibility, consisting of: internal reporting and analysis reviewed by the CFO, CEO, other members of senior management, the Board of Trustees, and reporting to the SEC. As a result, this team member will have the opportunity to demonstrate their capability to meet and exceed the high standards of the group.
The Role
This person will report to the Accounting Manager, influencing people throughout the finance group and larger organization. Responsibilities include:
Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, and entering transactions.Reconcile general ledger accounts, generate and record adjusting journal entries to ensure accurate reporting.Summarizes financial results by collecting information and preparing internal monthly reporting and analysis of consolidated results to management.Maintains allocation schedule and oversees monthly expense allocations.Participate in the preparation of quarterly reporting and analysis for the Board of Trustees. Adherence and preparation of support for internal control testing.Prepare audit schedules and assist the independent auditors in their inquiries.Proactively identify and drive process improvements and standardization.We are looking for the right fit from not only the technical perspective but a team fit as well.
