Preference will be given to applicants with State of Florida property and accounting experience. Under the general supervision of the Chief of Finance & Accounting, participates in the planning, evaluating, enhancing State Courts financial application, and software, communication components for end users, maintenance, and training. Must have and maintain a thorough knowledge of related Florida Statues, GAAP, comptroller rules, purchasing rules, and internal procedures that pertain to financial data. Assists the FLAIR Administrator with access to the statewide accounting system for the branch and represents State Courts in new system developments introduced by the Department of Financial Services. Must follow State Courts policy regarding the release of information. Essential Duties • Coordinates and assists in new and current system development, testing, implementation strategy, and training guidelines. • Performs research of current technology and systems. • Coordinates with help desk to resolve system problems. • Assists FLAIR Administrator in the development of new financial systems. • Provides FLAIR technical support and guidance to other departmental personnel, including training and monitoring. • Clears property pending file daily. Update the property master file for new and existing assets. Maintain document requests for property transfers, surplus and deletions. Print and issue property tags. • Assists with the annual physical inventory; maintains equipment, develop training material and assists in reconciliation of inventory results; maintains effective communication with court personnel. • Assist in development and maintenance of the Tangible Personal Property Manual and Inventory procedures. • Process FLAIR, MFMP, STMS, and WORKS transactions and Post audits work of other accountants. • Performs other duties as assigned Education and Training Guidelines Bachelor’s degree desired, in accounting or related field and 4 years of related experience.
