Senior Accountant

About the Role
As a Senior Accountant, you will be a key member of our Accounting and Finance team, ensuring the accuracy of financial records and compliance with GAAP. You will manage full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance while working closely with the management team to support business decision-making.

What You’ll Do
Financial Reporting & AnalysisMaintain general ledgers and oversee full-cycle accounting for multiple entities.Prepare month-end financial packages, reconciliations, and variance analyses.Assist with quarterly consolidations and year-end working papers.Budgeting & Job CostingAnalyze project/unit costing and ensure transactions are recorded accurately.Monitor financial results against budgets and investigate variances.Maintain and set up project/job costing within the accounting system.Regulatory Compliance & Internal ControlsEnsure compliance with Federal and Provincial tax filings (GST, PST, etc.).Implement and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies.Support independent accountant reviews and audits.Other Key ResponsibilitiesManage daily bank transactions and reconciliations.Maintain fixed asset continuity schedules, including depreciation tracking.Assist with special projects and contribute to continuous process improvements.What You BringCPA designation (or in progress) preferred.5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a fast-paced environment.Strong understanding of GAAP, full-cycle accounting, and financial reporting.Experience with job costing and project-based accounting.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.Why Join Us?Competitive salary and benefits packageOpportunities for professional development and career growthA collaborative, inclusive, and safety-focused work environmentThe chance to make an impact in a growing, dynamic company
