Senior Accountant

The Sr. Accountant will oversee finance and accounting for manufacturing and laboratory projects, manage revenue and expenses, and contribute to resource planning systems, business intelligence, and data analytics. The role includes supply chain and logistics reporting, budget and variance analysis, and revenue and expense forecasting. The Sr. Accountant will serve as the main point-of-contact for Senior Management and the finance team, providing accurate fiscal information to support the efficient and profitable development and manufacturing of cell and gene therapy projects.
Responsibilities
+ Corporate accounting, transaction processing, financial analysis, budgeting/forecasting, consolidated financial month-end reporting, payroll and performance monitoring, year-end close, and business decision support activities.
+ Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations, including SOX and GAAP requirements, and maintain a robust control environment.
+ Follow and implement global finance procedures, process improvement initiatives, and share leading practices.
+ Compile and analyze monthly actuals, accruals-deferrals, forecasts, and budgets for accuracy and proper accounting treatments.
+ Review business unit annual budgets and monthly forecasts, margin targets, and other corporate deliverables for reporting cycles.
+ Assist in compliance and audit initiatives, providing support for quality services and effective decision making.
+ Analyze complex financial information and provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management.
+ Plan and implement financial reporting and business analytics platforms, including ERP systems, business intelligence, and data analytics.
+ Provide operational oversight with a clear customer focus.
+ Establish frequent communication with key stakeholders to ensure integration, efficiency, and effectiveness of financial compliance.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Deep knowledge and routine practice of corporate accounting, financial policy creation and implementation, compliance, audit, GAAP, and SOX,
+ Successful track record of driving profitability within a matrix organization and building strong partnerships with other organizations.
+ Ability to develop and maintain regular financial reports and modify or create reporting processes for efficient operations.
+ Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills; demonstrated leadership abilities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
+ 7+ years of experience with US GAAP functions such as month-end close, reconciliations, and journal entries.
+ 3+ years of experience with cost accounting functions such as cost of goods sold and bill of materials.
+ 2+ years of experience in a SOX or internal controls environment.
+ 2+ years of experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JDE, Workday, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or similar.
+ 3+ years of experience with creating pivot tables, vlookups, and formulas within Microsoft Excel.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
