The opportunity

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is searching for a Senior Accountant to join our field finance team at Squire Resort Holiday Inn located near the Grand Canyon.  Our ideal candidate is an experienced accountant in the hospitality and/or food and beverage industries.  If you are an organized self-starter, skilled in communicating effectively, preparing and analyzing general ledgers, and having a general understanding of internal and external audit practices, please apply.

directly outside of the Grand Canyon (South Rim National Park).

Pay

Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $45,800 – $59,600 / year

In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. Review, analyze, and reconcile general ledger account and analyze and interpret variances. Assist with the month and year-end financial audits, month-end close journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and financial statement audits. Supervise an accounting clerk who is responsible for accounts receivable, and cash recording process within a centralized corporate process. Maintain required records, reports, and files in an organized manner. Assist property stakeholders as needed. Utilize BirchStreet More about you At least three years of accounting-related experience.  Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required. Hospitality experience preferred. Proficent with Microsoft Office required, specifically Excel. BirchStreet, OneStream, Peoplesoft experience preferred. Opera or property management software experience preferred.
