We focus on enhancing situational awareness, tactical command and control, and seamless video data exchange capabilities within a dynamic, multi-domain environment.
Job Description Ultra I&C is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in full-cycle accounting, a keen eye for process improvement, and the ability to support audits and financial reporting in a fast-paced environment.Essential Duties:
Lead the month-end close process, including creating and recording journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and ensuring accurate revenue and expense recognition.
Oversee the maintenance and troubleshooting of Deltek Costpoint, ensuring optimal system performance and accuracy.
Produce and issue a monthly capex tracker report summarizing YTD and forecasted capital expenditures.
Maintain the fixed asset database, including setup of new assets, disposal of assets, and recording monthly depreciation to the ledger.
Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and company procedures.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
Provide backup support for Accounts Payable and Payroll teammates
Active with internal and external audits, such as workers’ compensation, tax filings, and associated documentation as required.
Generate periodic reports detailing financial performance and expenditures.
Collaborate with the VP of Finance on problem-solving, special projects, and financial analysis.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
5+ years of experience in full-cycle accounting or related role.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel.
Ability to obtain a US Government security clearance. Security clearances are granted to U.S. citizens.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
CPA certification preferred.
Prior government contracting experience desired but not required.
Prior experience in accounts payable and month-end close.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and take initiative.
Excellent math skills and strong attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
Must be able to effectively present financial information and analysis to management and communicate with auditors.
Working knowledge of FAR/DFAR in a business setting.
Working knowledge of GAAP.
